b'ENVIOMETC Soil applicationSandra Lpez-Rayo et al. (Science of the Total Environment 647/2019, 15081517)demonstrated by experiments on soyabean that [S,S]-EDDS/Fe was sufficiently stablewhen applied to calcareous soil to allow an efficient root uptake and in improving theiron translocation to shoots. ENVIOMETC chelating agents can be considered as anenvironmentally sustainable alternative to traditional synthetic chelating agents forcuring Fe chlorosis in soil application. In summary, ENVIOMETC are readily biodegradable, environmentally friendly chelatingagents, able to form water-soluble complexes with polyvalent metal ions such as copper(Cu), iron (Fe), manganese (Mn) and zinc (Zn) over a wide pH range. Some agronomictests show that chelated micronutrients prepared from ENVIOMETC are effectivealternative to traditional chelating agents and can be recommended for foliar and soilapplication in many cropping situations including arable crops, horticulture, orchards, ornamental gardens and seed dressing.'
